Dried Mango – PlantLife's Hero Product

A few years ago, some European governments considered adding our dried mango halves to their lists of controlled substances. The reason? Reports had come in of them being so addictive that people had taken out loans, neglected their friends and families and otherwise negatively impacted their lives.

In all seriousness, we're proud of our organic dried mangos. The first step to making them so delicious is their unique origin in Mexico. Our goal was to create a snack that captured a fresh mango's indulgent sweetness without the mess.

We don't add even a pinch of sugar to our organic mango halves – nature made them deliciously sweet the first time around. All we do is pick the finest mangos, peel them, cut the cheeks (pulp) from both sides, and gently dry them to preserve their natural goodness and make sure they get to you in perfect snacking condition. Many companies use lemon to preserve their mango products, but we avoid artificial additives and ship them to you in their purest natural state.

Dried mangos are the perfect healthy snack

Just like unprocessed fresh mangos, our dried mangos are an incredible source of energy, fibre and vitamins. Mangos also contain a unique antioxidant called mangiferin that provides a range of health benefits. Their great nutritional profile and delicious taste make dried mango a perfect snack.

FAQ

Yes, dried mango can be a nutritious snack when consumed in moderation. It retains many of the vitamins and minerals found in fresh mango, such as vitamin C and vitamin A, while providing dietary fiber. These nutrients can support immune health, eye health, and digestion. However, due to its natural sugars, it's advisable to enjoy dried mango in controlled portions.

Dried mango can be a part of a weight loss diet if eaten in moderation. It offers dietary fiber that promotes a feeling of fullness, potentially reducing overall calorie intake. However, it's calorie-dense due to its natural sugar content, so portion control is essential to avoid excess calorie consumption.

To keep Organic Dried Mango fresh, store it in an airtight container or resealable bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Alternatively, you can refrigerate it to extend its shelf life. Proper storage helps maintain its flavor and texture over time.

While dried mango is not toxic to dogs, it should be given to them in moderation. The natural sugars in dried mango can be calorie-dense, so it's best to offer it as an occasional treat and not a regular part of their diet. Be mindful of portion sizes, and ensure there are no added ingredients like preservatives or sugars, which can be harmful to dogs.

Several factors contribute to the cost of dried mango. First, the drying process requires significant time and energy, especially if it's done naturally without preservatives. Second, the selection of high-quality mangoes and the removal of the pit and skin can be labor-intensive. Additionally, organic and sustainably sourced mangoes may come at a higher price point. Lastly, transportation and packaging costs can affect the final price.
